좋은 일이 있습니까?
As cold water to a weary soul, so is good news from a far country. - Proverbs
25:25 "먼 땅에서 오는 좋은 기별은 목마른 사람에게 냉수 같으니라” - 잠언 25:25
What's the good news today? I ask that question sometimes of people I know. If
the person is a Christian, he might smilingly reply, "The same as it was
yesterday. God loves us." And both he and I rejoice that it will be the same
tomorrow.
Those who don't know Christ, though, don't have such good news to share.
We can understand why pessimistic novelist T. C. Boyle says, "If God doesn't
exist . . . and you have no purpose on Earth, then it's a mighty mean place,
ruled by accident. . . . I'd like to have a lot better news for everybody, but I
don't."
Despite personal disappointments and the evils we see in this world, life is not
just a series of accidents. Our God is in ultimate control, making even man's
wrath contribute to the fulfillment of His wise and loving purposes.
Faith in the One who died on Calvary's cross and rose from the tomb is the
antidote to dark despair. Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ gives a realistic reason
for hope.
When Jesus rose from the grave, He told two women to tell His disciples He
was alive. Later He commanded His followers to take that news to all nations
(Matthew 28:9-10,19).
That's the good news we can proclaim to others. It's the answer to the riddle of
our existence. - VCG 오늘은 무슨 좋은 일이 있습니까? 나는 아는 사람들에게 가
끔 이 질문을 합니다. 그리스도인이라면 미소를 지으며 “오늘도 어제처럼 하나님이
우리를 사랑하고 계시다는 것이지요”라고 대답을 하기도 합니다. 그러면 그 사람과
나는 내일도 같을 것이라는 사실에 기뻐합니다.
그러나 예수님을 모르는 사람과는 그런 좋은 소식을 나눌 수가 없습니다. 염세적 인생
관을 가진 소설가 T.C. 보일이 다음과 같이 말하는 이유를 우리는 이해할 수 있습니
다. “하나님이 존재하지 않고…당신에게 이땅 위에 아무런 목적이 없다면 세상은 다
만 우연이 지배하는 매우 험한 곳이 될 것이다… 나도 모든 사람들에게 더 좋은 소식
을 주고는 싶지만 나에게 그런 소식은 없다.”
우리가 인간적으로 실망할 일이 많고 세상을 지배하는 죄악들도 눈으로 보고 있지만,
인생은 단지 우연의 연속이 아닙니다. 우리의 하나님은 모든 것을 주관하시어 사람의
분노까지도 지혜와 사랑으로 가득한 하나님의 뜻을 이루는데 쓰십니다.
갈보리의 십자가 위에서 죽으시고 무덤에서 일어나신 예수님을 믿는 것은 어두운 절
망을 이기는 해결책입니다. 우리 주 예수 그리스도에 대한 믿음이 소망의 실질적인 이
유입니다.
무덤에서 일어나신 예수님은 두 여인에게 그가 살아 있다는 사실을 제자들에게 전하
라고 말씀하시고, 그 후에는 제자들에게 이 소식을 온 족속에게 전하라고 명령하셨습
니다 (마 28:9-10, 19).
그것이 우리들이 기뻐하고 또 다른 사람들에게 선포해야 하는 좋은 소식입니다. 그것
은 또 우리의 존재에 관한 수수께끼를 푸는 해답이기도 합니다.
Oh, may our lives ring loud and clear
With God's good news for all,
So people who are lost in sin

모든 사람들에게 크고 맑게 울려퍼지게 하소서.
죄에 빠진 사람들이 하나님의 부르시는 소리를
분명히 듣게 하소서.
The good news is not that Jesus lived and died, but that He died and lives. 좋
은 소식이란 예수님이 사시다 죽으셨다는 것이 아니고
예수님이 죽으셨다가 지금은 살아 계시다는 사실이다.
Matthew 28:1-10,16-20
[1] After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene
and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
[2] There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from
heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.
[3] His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.
[4] The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead
men.
[5] The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are
looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
[6] He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place
where he lay.
[7] Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is
going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."
[8] So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and
ran to tell his disciples.
[9] Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him,
clasped his feet and worshiped him.
[10] Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go
to Galilee; there they will see me."
[16] Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus
had told them to go.
